Front of House Professional
Wines of While (Boorloo/Perth) is searching for an experienced Front of House Professional to join our small, passionate team in a full-time capacity.
We are looking for someone to work in a senior waiter or assistant venue manager position, starting February 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to position yourself as a key member of our ambitious, enthusiastic and dynamic hospitality project, and to co-design a job that suits your skill set and goals.
While experience working as a sommelier or at a high level in wine retail will be viewed favourably, the ideal candidate will have several years of experience in restaurant or quality café environments. The successful applicant will have strong table-waiting skills, a genuine interest in natural wine, a drive to learn, and a commitment to offering kind service.
Those with a particular experience working with natural wine who may be more interested in a position with a focus on wine service should also apply.
We are a multifaceted, wine-focused venue. We operate as a wine bar, wine shop and small restaurant. Provenance is at the core of what we do: we take pride in sourcing the best possible produce for our kitchen, and we offer a nationally recognised collection of organic, biodynamic, and preservative-free wines.
We have a particularly close relationship with the great natural winemakers of Australia, and we regularly hold events and tastings with the farmers and vignerons whose work we are so proud to support.
Our team comprises leading professionals in the field. We have a wealth of experience in wine importing, distribution, restaurant service and operations. Our kitchen is led by head chef Jack Short – formerly of Bar Romantica and Manzé (Melbourne) and Franklin (Tasmania) – with an exciting residency program inviting accomplished cooks from around the country and the world to share new techniques and styles in our kitchen.
We love serving our vibrant, engaged and open community, and we strive to reflect the values of our suppliers and customers. We pride ourselves on our safe, inclusive, welcoming, and positive workplace culture. We strongly encourage people from diverse backgrounds, or those with deep cultural understanding, to apply.
This is a full-time position, commencing in February 2025.
If you think this sounds like you, please send a cover email and your CV to hello@winesofwhile.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
